After color has settled in (four weeks), with an application of clear gloss. Lip procedures generally require two, and sometimes three visits--three are included in the cost. This client wanted a natural look; stronger colors are available.

Next day after lip color. Lips lose about 50% of the procedural pigment (some through the surface skin, which wears away, some through absorption by the body); eyeliner and eyebrows lose about 30%–hence the need for touch-up.

MH attended a conference in New Orleans for advanced procedures. The Guastella Institute, in cooperation with the Society for Permanent Cosmetic Professionals, offered four days of intensive discussion and demonstrations in color theory and best practices. The final day consisted of a practicum in areola repigmentation; one example of MH’s work has been added to this website.
